General Director of the holding "Minsk Crystal Group" Stanislav Iodis met with Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Minister of Turkmenistan Dovran Orazmyradov, the Belarusian Embassy in Turkmenistan said in a message.
The sides discussed the current trends in the development of mutual trade in food products. Following the talks, the sides agreed on further expansion of cooperation and determined a mechanism for increasing the trade turnover.
Turkmenistan has become a reliable friend and strategic partner for Belarus in Central Asia, Belarusian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Oleg Tabanyukhov said in his message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
According to the diplomat, mutual trade is becoming more balanced from year to year. Belarusian consumers value Turkmen textile products from natural cotton, handmade carpets, fresh and dried fruits and other products.
As for Turkmenistan, Belarusian dairy, meat and confectionery products, as well as MAZ cars, MTZ tractors, elevators, tires, furniture and solid wood doors, as well as many other products are famous here.
The largest joint project was the construction of an industrial giant for the production of potash fertilizers, the Garlyk Ore Mining and Processing Plant, which was opened on March 31, 2017.
