The volume of oil production in Azerbaijan from January through July 2021 decreased, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.
According to the ministry, this showing amounted to 20.1 million tons (together with condensate), down 522,200 tons on annual basis.
Of this volume, 13.3 million tons accounted for oil at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields while 2.2 million tons - condensate at Shah Deniz field.
In accordance with the report, oil production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) amounted to 4.6 million tons.
The production figures for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields, which play an important role in the development of the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan, were also specified.
Oil production (with condensate) amounted to more than 569 million tons from the moment of the fields’ commissioning until Aug.1, 2021.
Some 537 million tons of oil was produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields, and over 32 million tons of condensate - from the Shah Deniz field.
