BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. Gas supply to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan is carried out in four directions, a source at the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend.

According to the source, the company is carrying out gas supply to the liberated territories, particularly, in the Shusha, Horadiz-Lachin, Aghdam and Goranboy-Kalbajar directions.

"Currently, design work is underway to supply gas to Kalbajar, and the relevant specialists are in this city. In other three areas, designs have already been prepared and submitted to the relevant government agencies for approval," the source said.

The source further said that the gas supply is planned to be carried out from Boyukbahmanli village (Fuzuli district) to Shusha, and the gas infrastructure of Hadrut is planned to be connected to the gas infrastructure in Shusha.

"Moreover, it's planned to connect the gas networks of Fuzuli to the networks of Hadrut. The length of these lines will be about 80 kilometers," the company noted.

The source also said that this year it's planned to supply gas to Lachin.

"In addition, the Fuzuli gas complex has been designed from Fuzuli to Hadrut (22 kilometers) and from Fuzuli to Shusha. Construction of gas distribution units is expected at each end point," the company noted.

"This year, it's planned to start gas supply in three directions: Shusha, Lachin and Aghdam. In connection with the return of former internally displaced persons to Lachin, we plan to start and complete the gas supply to this district in the near future," added the source.
