Kazakhstan, Astana, Oct. 31 / Trend D. Mukhtarov /
Integration within the CIS will grow the Kazakh economy, First Deputy Chairman of Atameken Kazakh National Economic Chamber board Rahim Oshakbaev said today.
"I would like to stress that integration is important for us to improve living standards of Kazakh people, as the free movement of people, goods and services will lead to the economic growth in the country," Oshakbaev said during the discussions in Astana on Wednesday, while participating in the video conference Astana - Moscow - Kiev - Chisinau - Yerevan - Baku on "Perspectives of integration processes in the post-Soviet space", dedicated to the Summit of Heads of the CIS member-states.
He said that the economy, rather than politics is a determinative factor in the development of the integration between Kazakhstan and the CIS countries.
"The economy and then the politics is in the first place in the integration process in Kazakhstan," he added.
There will be great changes after Russia's joining the WTO and Kazakhstan's further accession to the WTO.
"Joining the WTO will change the whole trend of relations, as the WTO is the crown of integration, and the WTO, I think, will dominate over the Eurasian integration," he said.
