BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan significantly increased in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan from January through March 2022 amounted to $246.8 million, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to the same period of 2022 ($202.3 million).
According to the committee, share of Kazakhstan in the total trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 11.7 percent.
Kazakhstan exported to Kyrgyzstan goods worth $142.4 million from January through March 2022, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to $135.5 million in the first period of 2021.
Kyrgyzstan’s exports to Kazakhstan amounted to $104.4 million, which is an increase of 56.5 percent compared to $66.7 million in the same period of 2021.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's total value of foreign trade turnover increased by 50 percent from January through March 2022 compared to the same period last year - from $2.1 billion to $1.4 billion.
