BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct.17. Nominations for gas flows (entry) at Kipoi (Greece) interconnection of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) totaled 380,392,291 kWh for October 17 and 29,000,000 kWh for October 18, Trend reports October 17 citing TAP’s electronic platform.
At Komotini, the exit nominations for October 17 stand at 35,670,675 kWh, while at Nea Mesimvria, the entry nominations for October 17 amount to 14,140,000 kWh, while exit nominations stand at 30,346,301 kWh.
As for Melendugno, the exit nominations for October 17 and October 18 stand at 325,515,315 kWh and 29,840,000 kWh, respectively.
Daily physical flows at Kipoi, Komotini, Nea Mesimvria and Melendugno for October 17 are equal to 15,866,451 kWh, 1,483,252 kWh, 676,025 kWh and 13,841,650 kWh, respectively.
As the European section of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP has the capacity to transport approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas per annum (bcm/a) to several markets in Europe. The pipeline is also designed with the potential to expand its throughput capacity up to 20 bcm/a.
As a key part of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP is strategically and economically important to Europe and essential in providing reliable access to a new source of natural gas. TAP plays a significant role in boosting Europe’s energy security, supply diversification, as well as decarbonisation objectives.
TAP’s shareholding is comprised of bp (20 percent), SOCAR (20 percent), Snam (20 percent), Fluxys (19 percent), Enagás (16 percent) and Axpo (5 percent).
