Planting launched at large private grain farms in Azerbaijan

The planting was launched at large private grain farms in Azerbaijan, Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said during discussion of the draft state budget for 2013 and next 3 years on Tuesday.
Some 4,800 acres of land is provided to create a large-scale private grain farms in Agjabedi and Beylagan regions of the country in the frame of the project.
"Currently a modern irrigation system is being created at the territory of farms, planting has been already started," Mustafayev said.
He noted that the purpose of these areas is changed in order to create new farms. Areas are supplied with water and electricity through the public investments; comprehensive ameliorative measures are carried out.
