Azerbaijan’s export of tea and coffee reached $7.9 million from January through November 2021, which is by 8.57 percent or $682,000 less compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to the statistics bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The share of these products in Azerbaijan’s total export volume decreased from 0.07 percent to 0.04 percent.
The import of coffee and tea for the year increased by $8.2 million (14.74 percent). The volume reached about $63.9 million.
The share of these products in the total import volume of Azerbaijan reached 0.61 percent compared to 0.58 percent from January through November 2020.
Thus, the volume of foreign trade in coffee and tea reached about $71.9 million from January through November 2021, which is by 11.7 percent ($7.5 million) more than in the same period of last year.
Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover as a whole increased by 32.85 percent or $7.5 billion from January through November 2021 compared to the same period of last year - from $22.7 billion to $30.2 billion.
The export volume reached $19.8 billion in the structure of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the reporting period while import volume - $10.4 billion, having increased in annual terms by 51.6 percent and 7.47 percent, respectively.
