BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. The foundations of buildings that will have 100,000 apartments inside in 23 new cities in 12 provinces of Iran have been laid under the National Housing Action Plan on May 17, 2022, Iranian Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Alireza Jafari told IRNA, Trend reports.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi and others attended the groundbreaking ceremony via videoconference.

According to Jafari, the foundations of 9,251 apartments have been laid in Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, 1,875 apartments - in West Azerbaijan Province, 24,278 apartments - in Isfahan Province, 15,320 apartments in Alborz Province, and 4,106 apartments - in Bushehr Province.

“In addition, the foundations of 10,997 apartments have been laid in Tehran Province, 12,042 apartments - in Razavi Khorasan Province, 3,710 apartments - in Khuzestan Province, 802 apartments - in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, 7,112 apartments - in Fars Province, 8,001 apartments - in Markazi Province and 2,506 apartments - in Hormozgan Province,” the deputy minister noted.

Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is implementing the National Housing Action Plan. According to the plan, the heads of families must register and have deposits of 300 million rials (about $7,140) at the Bank Maskan of Iran.
