The Nabucco Project Support Agreements will be signed in Turkey in June, Expert on Communications in the Nabucco project Gabriele Egartner wrote Trend in an e-mail.
The Project Support Agreements will be signed between Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH and the responsible ministries of the five transit countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Turkey), she said.
"The Nabucco Consortium can confirm that the negotiations for the Project Support Agreements are concluded and will be signed. The Nabucco Consortium sees the conclusion of these agreements as further mile stone towards the realization of the project," Egartner said.
These agreements constitute an important support of the States vis-à-vis the project in addition to the Intergovernmental Agreement, she said.
"The Project Support Agreements set out the practical aspects and standards for the construction and for the long term operation of the pipeline in the respective countries," she said.
Nabucco project envisages gas supplies from the Caspian region and the Middle East to the EU countries. The pipeline's maximum capacity will hit 31 billion cubic meters per year. Participants of the project are Austrian OMV, Hungarian MOL, Bulgarian Bulgargaz, Romanian Transgaz, Turkish Botas and German RWE companies. Each of participants has equal share to the amount of 16.67 percent.
In early May, the Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH announced the postponement of the project. Construction was postponed to 2013 and first supplies to 2017.
