The head of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce criticized the media for disclosing the ways of trade and financial transactions with China, Trend reports citing IRNA.
A delegation of businessmen led by the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce recently visited China to discuss the prospects for trade.
Referring to the visit, Majid Reza Hariri criticized local media for disclosing the details of deals and talks with Chinese side.
“Financial discussions between Iran and China should not be revealed,” the official said. “The Tehran Chamber of Commerce always faces the problem of leaking confidential news. If there is anything to be discussed with China, there should be no media outlet at all.”
Recently, China has announced the readiness to invest in Iran's small and medium-sized enterprises.
The head of Iran Chamber of Commerce Masoud Khansari has also announced development of a mechanism aimed at enhancing barter of goods between Iran and China.
