By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Thanks to co-financing and a loan from the 'Produce in Georgia' agency, the 'Neostar' company, which deals with manufacturing of concrete products, built a new plant in Tbilisi, equipped with the latest European high-tech equipment, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The plant was established thanks to a Ukrainian investment of up to 15 million lari ($4.7 million) and employs 50 people.

As part of the investment commitments, the government provided the company with a plot of land at a symbolic price with the support of the National Property Agency.

The company produces environmentally friendly tiles, boardwalk and building blocks in accordance with modern standards. In addition, the company offers its customers Colormix technology, which has no analogues on the Georgian market, which allows to decorate the tiled surface by combining different colors.

“Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the company is operating at full capacity and supplying high-quality products to the local market, including facing stones and building blocks. It should be noted that the company has its own laboratory equipped with modern standards to ensure that the quality of their products meets the European standards,” said Georgia's Minister of Economy Natia Turnava.

Turnava visited an enterprise for the production of concrete tiles together with the director of 'Produce in Georgia' Mikhail Khidureli.

According to Turnava, the company plans to expand in the future, and the authorities will help.

“Each such enterprise is designed to strengthen our local production, employ local residents and strengthen our investment potential,” the minister emphasized.
