Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / AgriBioEcoTex, the Azerbaijani organic fertilizer manufacturer, and the Korean company Hyo-Sung reached an agreement to establish a joint enterprise in Baku requiring $5mln of investment, the President of AgriBioEcoTex, Alibala Alizadeh, reported. Control of shares the will be owned by the Azerbaijani side.
Alizadeh proposes that the joint investment into bio-humus production will increase production from the current 1,000 tons a year to 100,000 tons a year.
"In Azerbaijan our enterprise is in single bio-humus, but current volumes of organic fertilizers are not sufficient due to the catastrophic situation with soil humus in the country. The formation of 1cm of soil humus takes 300-400 years," Alizadeh said.
Fertilizers manufactured at the enterprise (bio-humus) fertilize the soil, increase humus in the soil, which can achieve 7-8% of black earth. As a result, production of agriculture products increase, as well as their quality, and the most important thing is the production of non-nitrate products.
"Today Azerbaijani markets have problems, for agriculture products are full of nitrogen fertilizers which cause intoxication resulting in vomiting and high temperature. Such consequences have mainly been caused recently by eating melon and water-melon," Alizadeh said. According to him, the main purpose of the joint enterprise is to utilize live farm waste for the production of high-quality fertilizers. In turn, this will prevent ecological pollution.
AgriBioEcoTex, a private company, has been producing bio-humus for four years.
