At an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of Ozneftgazqazibchiqarish JSC, the Uzbek oil and gas production company, a tripartite contract was approved with participation of Uzbek-Russian joint venture, Natural Gas-Stream LLC, and Singapore’s Enter Engineering PTE Ltd. for the construction of two technological facilities worth a total of $132.2 million at the fields of Ozneftgazqazibchiqarish JSC in 2018, the Uzbek company told Trend.

In particular, according to the contract signed within the program to increase hydrocarbon production for 2017-2021, the Singapore company will carry out turnkey construction of technological units, which include integrated gas treatment units, desulfurization units and methanol to gasoline (MTG) production units.

In total, up to 2012, the Enter Engineering PTE Ltd. will build six similar technological facilities with a total value of almost $300 million at the oil, gas and condensate fields of the Ustyurt, Bukhara-Khiva, Surkhandaryo and Fergana regions.

In spring 2017 in Uzbekistan, the program to increase hydrocarbon production for 2017-2021 with a total cost of almost $4 billion was adopted. Its implementation will ensure an annual increase in natural gas production in the volume of 6.4 billion cubic meters, about 3.5 billion cubic meters of which will be exported.

In 2017, the volume of natural gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 56.418 billion cubic meters compared to 56.132 billion cubic meters in 2016. In 2018, the volume of natural gas production is planned to reach 66 billion cubic meters.
