Insurance companies paid 194.2 million lari ($62.5 million) in losses in the first 6 months of 2021 in Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian National Bank.
As reported, that is 39.9 million lari ($12.8 million) more than in the same period of last year.
In the first 6 months of 2021, GPI compensated the largest amount of loss (46.12 million lari/($14.8 million)).
Aldagi is the second (28.69 million lari/($9.2 million)), Imedi L is in third place. TBC (23.47 million lari/($7.5 million)) is in fourth place, and Ardi with 18.38 million lari ($5.9 million) is the fifth in the list.
As of June 30, 2021, 18 insurance companies are operating in the insurance market that holds life and non-life insurance licenses.
