A total of 1.86 million tons of goods worth more than 85.1 trillion rials (about $2.03 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (September 4 through September 9, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is a decrease of 44 percent in terms of value and 16 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (August 28 through September 2, 2021).
So, 2.23 million tons of goods worth more than 152 trillion rials (about $3.63 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.
According to the report, about 1.53 million tons of goods worth about 38.9 trillion rials (about $926 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.
"About 156,000 tons of steel, 1,100 tons of copper, 2,800 tons of aluminum, 120 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 15 tons of precious metal concentrate, 690 tons of zinc ingots, 1.36 million tons of cement, 2 kg gold bars and 14,000 tons of sponge iron were sold in this section," the report said.
In addition, more than 322,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 45.1 trillion rials (about $1.07 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.
According to the report, 58,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 123,000 tons of bitumen, 78,300 tons of polymeric substances, 33,900 tons of chemicals, 23,000 tons of lube cut, 3,480 tons of base oil, 445 tons of facades and 760 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.
Furthermore, 4,780 tons of various products worth 1.09 trillion rials (about $26.1 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
