Azerbaijan, Khachmaz, 9 July / Trend corr A.Gafarov/ Cloudbursts in the north-east of Azerbaijan uplifted the water level in all mountainous rivers in the region. Water level reached a critical point in several rivers in Khachmaz. The population of Hajigurbanov and Chigatay villages located nearby the Gudyalchay and Agchay rivers has been evacuated to a safer place.
According to the deputy head of Khachmaz Administration Rafig Tagiyev, water level in the Gudyalchay and Agchay has dropped in contrast to Alpanchay - it still remains critical in the river. All technics was mobilized in the region and dangerous places are being observed.
Torrent brought the foundation of a new bridge in Hajigurbanov village to emergency condition.
Rain showers are still underway in Azerbaijan's north-eastern region.
