"If the situation will not be changed, neither the opposition party nor the opposition camp can boycott the elections. Opposition does not have enough force to boycott the presidential elections," Akif Shahbazov, OSP chairman stated to Trend .

The presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan in October 2008. The opposition Musavat and Democratic parties will participate in the elections with their own respective candidates. The Azadlig bloc, which unites three opposition parties- Popular Front, Liberal and Citizen and Development, stated to boycott the elections.

Shahbazov said the elections may ignore the population and boycotting of the elections by any party would not yield any success.

OSP key purpose is to succeed in returning Guliyev to Azerbaijan. The party does not intend to support another candidate from the opposition camp.
