The Kyrgyz pro-governmental Ak Zhol party will nominate the candidature of the incumbent President Kurbanbek Bakiyev for the presidential post, the Interfax reported.
The decision was made at the meeting of the Ak Zhol party (Bright way) on May 1.
The presidential elections will be held in Kyrgyzstan on July 23.
In accordance with the Constitution, president of Kyrgyzstan can nominate his candidature for the second period.
Earlier, Bakiyev stated that he would nominate his candidature for the second period.
The pro-governmental Ak Zhol party was founded by President Bakiyev in October 2007. The party won the parliamentary elections and has 71 deputy mandates.
Bakiyev was elected the president of Kyrgyzstan on July 10, 2005.
