The companies engaged in producing building materials in Azerbaijan, made goods worth 46.5 million manat in January-February 2013, which is 55.2 per cent more than the same period of 2012, the State Statistics Committee said on Monday.
According to the information, the companies produced 226,900 tons of cement in January-February 2013 (an increase of 45.1 per cent per year), 36,100 tons of construction gypsum (increase of 2.8 times), 188,600 tons of ready-mixed concrete (increase of 29.5 per cent) and 46,300 tons of asphalt (increase of7.2 per cent).
The stocks of construction materials worth 15 million manat, which is 4.8 per cent of the total finished goods in the country created at the warehouses of enterprises by March 1, 2013.
