Talking to reporters, Jamal Shoushtari said that Tajikistan's main imports include electricity, oil products, automobile, wood, machinery, food stuffs, shoes, Portland cement and wash-up materials, IRNA reported.
Diversity of the country's imports provides a suitable opportunity for the Iranian merchants to present their capabilities during the event, he said.
Iran and Tajikistan have cooperation in various areas such as exporting technical and engineering services, production of construction materials, textile, transportation, insurance and banking, he said.
Shoushtari said that Anzab Tunnel, commissioning edible oil and wash-up materials production units are among the projects the Iranian experts have undertaken in Tajikistan.
Some 40 companies have so far voiced their readiness to take part at the event, he said.
