BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have signed agreements worth $13.1 billion, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

The documents were signed within the framework of the fourth meeting of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council.

Among the concluded agreements are 15 joint documents that determine the prospects for implementation of specific projects in Uzbekistan in energy, chemical industry, infrastructure and housing construction, pharmaceuticals, medicine, transport and logistics.

On August 17, official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Saudi Arabia started.

As part of a state visit, topical issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation between two countries, primarily in trade, economic, investment, energy, financial, cultural and humanitarian spheres will be discussed.

Particular attention will be paid to the implementation of joint projects and programs in the field of green economy, high technologies and digitalization, innovation, medicine, small business and entrepreneurship.
