BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. The value of retail trade turnover in Uzbekistan from January through July 2022 amounted to 159.9 trillion soums ($14.6 billion), which is an increase of 11.2 percent compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During this period, the retail trade turnover per capita amounted to 4.5 million soums ($411.1).
From January through July 2022, the retail trade turnover of large enterprises in the country amounted to 35.5 trillion soums ($3.2 billion), while the retail trade turnover of small businesses – was 124.4 trillion soums ($11.3 billion).
In the structure of the country's retail trade turnover, a significant share fell on Tashkent city, amounting to 25.7 percent, or 41.1 trillion soums ($3.7 billion).
The smallest share at the level of 1.5 percent, or 2.4 trillion soums ($221.4 million) fell in the Syrdarya region.
