Over $47.5 million were paid in the form of an incentive plan for industrial cooperation with the electricity sector, the head of the government-affiliated Power Generation, Distribution and Transmission Company (Tavanir) said.
"In the current winter, due to restrictions on the supply of fuel to power plants, this sector faced restrictions on electricity supply,” the head of the government-affiliated Power Generation, Distribution and Transmission Company (Tavanir) Mohammad Hassan Motevali Zadeh said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Although there was no problem in terms of production volume, the restriction of fuel supply to power plants became inevitable due to the need to supply fuel to the domestic and commercial sectors,” he said.
He referred to the passing of the summer without outage and described it as a result of the good cooperation of the people and industries.
Motavilizadeh added that Tavanir considered a reward package for this cooperation.
He went on to say that over $47 million was paid as a cooperation reward.
He expressed hope that the cooperation of large industries with the electricity industry would always be continuous in order to provide safe and stable electricity for all.
