Georgian Railway shares updated report on income within 9M2021

The income of Georgian Railway JSC from January through September 2021 increased by 12.3 percent – up to 408.9 million Georgian lari ($131 million), compared to 364.2 million Georgian lari ($116.7 million) over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via TBC Capital.

However, the net finance loss of the Georgian Railway, having increased by 56.2 percent, resulted in a net loss of 10.9 million Georgian lari ($3.4 million) over the reporting period of 2021.

The financial expenses of the company decreased to 200.7 million Georgian lari ($64.3 million) from January through September 2021, compared to 282.3 million Georgian lari ($90.4 million) over the same period of 2020.

According to the TBC Capital, Georgian Railway transported 9.05 million tons of cargo from January through September 2021, which is an increase of 11.7 percent, compared to 8.1 million tons over the same period of 2020.

The benefit expenses of the employees in the reporting period of 2021 amounted to 127.1 million Georgian lari ($40.7 million) – a decrease of 3.5 percent, compared to 122.7 million Georgian lari ($39.3 million) over the reporting period of 2020.

Georgian Railway's revenue from oil shipments over first 9 months of 2021 increased by 32 percent to $36.8 million, while the revenues from ore shipments declined by 11.3 percent ($7.8 million).
