Irakli Shikhiashvili was appointed as Chairman in Tbilisi's Sakrebulo (self-governing body). Decision was taken by 25 mps of new majority.
Voting was held by Sakrebulo's acting chairman Jaba Samushia.
For candidacy of Shikhiashvili were voted all the members of the international factio group, except the chairman of the faction "Tbilisians" Guliko Zumbadze.
Another representative of the new majority Giorgi Mushelisvili was elected as First Deputy Sakrebulo.
After the meeting Shikhiashvili promised to make all effort to achieve maximum cooperation with the Mayor Gigi Ugulava, which is one of the leaders of the United National Movement, whose members remained in minority a week ago and didn't participate in the Sakrebulo meeting.
