Mass Disorder May to Happen in Ukraine After Election Results Announcement: Ukrainian Political Scientist

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. А.Gasimova / Mass disorder may occur in the Ukraine after announcing the results of the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country.

"The situation during the election process will be more stable than after announcing the results of this election," Oles Doni, a political scientist and director of the Ukrainian Values Research Centre, said.

The early parliamentary elections in Ukraine were scheduled for 30 September 2007 by the President of the country. In compliance with the Constitution the President of the Republic names the date for early parliamentary elections, which should be held within 60 days from the day of issuing the decree.

Despite the Ukrainians composure at the early parliamentary campaign in, here are no political aggressions among political parties.

There are fewer contradictions among the political parties of the Ukraine compared to the presidential campaign of 2004 and parliamentary elections of 2006, the political scientist said.

The new stage of contradiction will occur in the Ukraine after announcement of the results of the elections, Doni said.

At present, the situation in the Ukraine is quite stable.
