The Deputy Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), MP Mubariz Gurbanli, stated that from the end of 2006, the number of NAP members has reached 400,000, and most of the members are young people, Trend reports.

He stressed that the NAP activities were remembered by several events. At present, the membership of the very first NAP organization equals nearly 7,000. From the organization's point of view, NAP has made great progress and the number of members and organizations of the NAP has increased, Gurbanli said.

According to him, NAP gained victory in two elections held in Azerbaijan. These successes are testified by the fact that the activities of NAP have been established at a high level from a political and organizational point of view. The community highly assesses the activities of NAP. During a public survey, NAP was confirmed as the first party in the eyes of the community, he said.

Gurbanli stressed that according to the Plan of Measures prepared by the Secretariat and confirmed by the Executive Board of NAP, last year the party held round tables, conferences, debates and meetings on topics that are of concern to the community. Amongst these events, I would like to accurately highlight the events linked with our economy, foreign policy and religious values. During the events, the support of the population to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev found its reflection in the social and economical success and other topics, Gurbanli concluded.
