(Р°skmen.com) - Michael Jackson is to make a personal appearance at a Christmas party in Tokyo where fans will pay $3,400 a ticket.

The eccentric singer will not perform at the Premium Christmas Party on December 19 but for 400,000 yen - $3,428 - he will hold a "meet and greet" for "platinum" ticket holders.

Jackson will watch other performances including dancers, bands and gospel singers from a VIP area.

Those in the audience who have paid the top ticket price will be able to meet the 'Billie Jean' singer briefly.

Ticket holders who have only paid 200,000 yen will get free food and drink and a signed photo of the 48-year-old star.

Last week, Jackson performed at the Word Music Awards in London.

Fans had been expecting a live rendition of his seminal hit 'Thriller', but were left disappointed when he only sang a few lines of his charity single 'We Are the World'.
