BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Ambassador of Tajikistan to Georgia Rustam Soli and Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili discussed prospects for opening direct flights on August 8, Trend reports via Tajikistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, issues of developing cooperation between Tajikistan and Georgia in the field of air traffic, in particular, the launch of a direct flight between the two countries were considered.

"Soli and Davitashvili exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation in a number of fields including trade, economy, water and energy, agriculture, transport, etc," the ministry said.

Moreover, the parties also focused on holding the first meeting of the Tajik-Georgian joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic issues, which is scheduled this year in Tbilisi.
