Arab World Materials 12 January 2013 22:56 (UTC +04:00)

Egypt's Supreme Administrative Court has forwarded a case on the country's leading Islamists parties to the Supreme Court, The Voice of Russia reported.

The latter is now to probe the legitimacy of the Muslim Brotherhood's political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) and the Salafist Al Nour party.

Earlier, a number of lawyers claimed that FJP and Al Nour which were outlawed under Mubarak are illegal as their platform is purely religious not political.
