The testimony of a terrorist detained in Zugdidi on Friday was made public by the Georgian Interior Ministry.

According to the Interior Ministry, 51-year-old resident of the Gali district of Abkhazia Rolan Khurtsilava placed a homemade bomb in the building of the regional prosecutor's office in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti.

He passed from the territory of occupied Abkhazia with an explosive device. The bomb was revealed by the prosecutor's guards and neutralized by sappers.

Khurtsilava said that he was instructed by a Russian former serviceman to blow up the building of the prosecutor's office in Zugdidi. He agreed from the second time and received 80,000 Russian rubles because he needed money.

The Constitutional Security Department under the Georgian Interior Ministry investigates the case.
