Director was appointed to Azerbaijan’s State Social Protection Fund July 13, according to a message from the ministry of labor and social protection of population.
Zakir Babayev was named the State Social Protection Fund’s director by the order of the minister of labor and social protection of population, said the message.
Babayev worked as an engineer, a senior engineer, and later, as head of production and planning department at the All-Union Scientific and Research, Planning and Design Technological Institute of Petroleum Engineering of the USSR Ministry of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from August 1974 to January 1986.
Later, he served as senior adviser of the economic department at Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers.
Babayev was appointed deputy head of the State Social Protection Fund in January 1993.
By the order of the minister of labor and social protection of population, Amina Seyidzade, Safar Mehdiyev and Sardar Khidirov have been appointed deputies of the head of the State Social Protection Fund.
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree in March on measures to improve the management in the sphere of social protection of population.
The State Social Protection Fund became a part of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population in accordance with the decree.
