KAZAN, Russia, October 23. President Ilham Aliyev has held an informal talk with the leaders of the CIS countries on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Trend reports.
On October 23, President Ilham Aliyev, at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, arrived in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, the city of Kazan, to participate in the Outreach/BRICS+ format of the XVI BRICS Summit.
The BRICS summit consists of two parts. The first is a meeting of the organization's member countries, dedicated to the theme "Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security," which is the motto of Russia's BRICS chairmanship in 2024. The second part is a session in the BRICS Plus/Outreach format, the theme of which will be “BRICS and the Global South – building a better world together”.
