IMF recommends fiscal prudence, stronger oversight of state-owned enterprises in Georgia
As Georgia gradually shifts toward increased domestic debt issuance, the IMF advises proceeding with caution to prevent crowding out private sector borrowing and to keep a close eye on rising borrowing costs and risks stemming from tightening linkages between the sovereign and the banking sector.
