TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 24. On the first day of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between their nations, Trend reports.

The two leaders addressed critical issues related to enhancing multifaceted cooperation across various sectors, including politics, trade, economics, investment, culture, and humanitarian efforts. They emphasized the importance of sustained contacts and productive exchanges between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

Particular attention was given to advancing cooperative projects in areas such as geology, mineral resource extraction, electrical engineering, machine building, healthcare, and education.
