BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. The opening ceremony of the International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival was held on October 24, Trend reports.
The event, organized within the STEAM Azerbaijan project, is supported by the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the COP29 Presidency.
More than 900 participants from 244 teams are taking part in the final stage of this year's festival. Of these, 146 represent 15 countries, including the UK, Türkiye, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the US.
A total of 17 judges from 10 different countries including Denmark, Slovakia, Canada, and Türkiye are involved in the content development and evaluation process of the participants.
The festival will include competitions and exhibition contests in 9 categories, including Green Initiatives, Green Coding, Hydrogen Car Race, Drone Technology, Our Satellite, Robot Fighting, Engineers of the Future, etc.
The festival will be held on October 24-25.
In the course of the two-day festival, participants will also take part in trainings on climate change and sustainable development, organized by experts of the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company.
