BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Iran proposes joint investments in new technologies, especially in artificial intelligence, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at the first plenary meeting held in the BRICS+ format in Russia's Kazan on October 24, Trend reports.
According to him, new technologies, especially artificial intelligence, will have a profound and strategic impact on the vitality of all countries. Soon, several countries will again, as in the past, impose many restrictions on the acquisition of new technologies by developing countries.
Pezeshkian pointed out that, given the circumstances, we have no choice but to step on the gas when it comes to sharing experiences and working together in this area.
BRICS, an intergovernmental organization, came into existence in 2006. Russia assumed the BRICS chairmanship on January 1, 2024. At present, alongside Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa, the organization has also welcomed Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia into the fold.
