Azerbaijan, Baku, November 19/ Trend , corr S. Kazimli/ Seven families have been evacuated from a building in emergency situation located in Sabail district of Baku, a source in Housing and Repair Service (HRS) of the State Architectural Office said to Trend .
Residents of apartment 45, 1 Gala street in Icheri Sheher called 112 service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) on November 18 at 08:00p.m. and said they heard the building to jolt. "As soon as we received the call, officers of our service, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Administration of Sabail District of Baku and Police Office of Sabail district came to the scene and studied the place," a source in HRS said.
At 11:00p.m. of November 18 as many as 24 residents of the building were evacuated from the building and accommodated in Boyuk Gala hotel as specialist who came to the scene of incident suggested that the building was in emergency situation.
The building is reported to be in emergency situation since 2000 quake in Baku. Besides the above-mentioned apartment, the apartments 38, 47B and 60 in 1 Gala Street are also said to be in emergency situation.
The specialists of MES will decide whether to repair or to knock down the building. The study is being carried out at the moment.
