Some 22 robbery Cases remains Unsolved in Azerbaijan, in 2007

Zarbaliyeva/ Some 22 cases of robbery remained unsolved in Azerbaijan, in 2007, Zakir Garalov, the prosecutor general of Azerbaijan, said in the meeting of the Prosecutor's Office- dedicated to the assigned tasks and the state of the measures taken last year by the law enforcement bodies, Trend reports. The prosecutor general said that some 16 of these crimes were registered in Baku.

Garalov said that 13 forethought murders were not solved in 2007. Ganja city of Azerbaijan accounts for three of them, Binagadi district of Baku -2, Narimanov, Khatai district of Baku, and Garadagh, Khanlar, Gobustan, Tovuz, Zagatala regions of the country -1 respectively.

Some 127 crimes, committed in the previous years, were solved. The prosecutor general said that some 16 grave and especially grave crimes, committed in 2007, were solved. There was a drop in the number of the forethought murders, willful injury to the health, rapes, robbery, stealing of cars, juvenile murder and crimes against the foreign citizens.

According to Garalov, 92.1% of 18,667 crimes, committed in 2007, were solved.

But, the crimes related to the human trafficking, car accidents with fatal outcome, blackmail, sexual harassment, and murder have increased.
