Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 August / Trend corr. J.Babayeva/ Georgia's CIS leaving process has not yet commenced, Russia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasili Istratov said at a press conference in Baku on 13 August.
According to Istratov, there is a relevant procedure to leave CIS. A member of the organization may leave it in 12 months after applying.
"Every country determines for itself in which organization to be represented," said Ambassador.
Istratov said the power change mechanism in Georgia does not depend on Russia, but on the Georgian people and the Parliament.
