Heydar Aliyev Foundation' President visits orphanage and rehabilitation center in Baku`s District

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva visited the orphanage No2 recently reconstructed with funding of the Foundation in the Yeni Guneshli residential area of Surakhany district.

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva visited the orphanage No2 recently reconstructed with funding of the Foundation in the Yeni Guneshli residential area of Surakhany district.

The orphanage was rebuilt as part of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s "Development of orphanages and boarding schools" program.

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the center`s work.

The First Lady was told that the orphanage needs another building.
Mehriban Aliyeva inquired about social conditions of children`s families.

On behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, its President donated a bus to the orphanage.

Later the same day, Mehriban Aliyeva inaugurated a "Rehabilitation Centre for Children in need for special care" built in the Yeni Guneshli residential area as part of the joint project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Uralsib Russian financial corporation.
Mehriban Aliyeva was informed that the medical center was built to the most modern standards and provided with state-of-the-art equipment.

The world popular method of sand therapy is used for treatment of children in the center.
Therapeutic sport is one of the major methods in the process of rehabilitation.
After touring the facilities at the center, Mehriban Aliyeva presented keys to a Hyundai bus.
Chairman of the Uralsib`s Board of Directors Nikolai Svetkov attended the inauguration ceremony.

First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met with management of the Uralsib financial corporation.
