Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on May 11 inaugurated a new park, laid out at Surakhany part of the Heydar Aliyev Avenue.
The Head of State viewed photo exposition reflecting the previous and present look of the park.
The President was informed that from an environmental point of view, it was a seedy area here before the construction. Fluid withdrawal swamped this area.
In accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's instructions, after draining this territory, the new park was laid out here. Construction of the park began in late 2011.
This is the fifth park in Surakhany district. Villagers of Bulbula settlement will also enjoy resting in this park.
The total area of the park 17,538,000 square meters. In accordance with local conditions here 500 various trees and flowers were planted here. The park is equipped with a playground area of 568 square meters and has modern lighting system.
