New Zealand twins Georgina and Caroline Evers- Swindell on Saturday won the women's rowing double sculls competition at the Beijing Olympics in a photo finish from the German pair of Ann-Katrin Thiele and Christiane Huth, dpa reported.
The New Zealanders, who already won the gold in Athens four years ago, were timed at 7 minutes 7.32 seconds, while the German pair were one hundredth of a second behind.
Elise Laverick and Anna Bebington of Great Britain took the bronze.
