Zou takes light flyweight title as China reaches gold milestone

Zou Shiming of China claimed the men's light flyweight boxing gold medal Sunday when he beat Serdamba Purevdorj of Mongolia in the final. ( dpa )

Purevdorj retired injured after just nine seconds of the second round to hand victory to 2007 world champion Zou, who registered China's first boxing medal of the Beijing Games and the host nation's 50th overall.

There are six boxing finals to be decided Sunday on the final day of Olympic action.
