Chess palace to be built in Azerbaijan

"The 2009-2014 state program of development of chess in Azerbaijan envisages the construction of a chess Palace," Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov and President of the Azerbaijani Chess Federation Elman Rustamov said at the presentation of the state program on June 9.
There will be halls for tournaments, trainings, swimming pool, court, dining, etc., Rahimov said. "The palace should be the second home for chess players," the minister said.
The chess palace will be a link to the development of this sport in the whole Azerbaijan, Rustamov said.
