The Defense Industry Ministry of Azerbaijan will cooperate with the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in the sphere of application of scientific innovations, Prof. Rafig Huseynov, chief of the Ministry's scientific-technical researches department, told Trend on Thursday.
The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev accentuated this matter in his speech at the annual general assembly of the ANAS.
"In connection with this, we met ANAS Vice President Arif Hashimov and reached definite accord. We will soon begin to cooperate with the ANAS to settle certain matters," Huseynov said.
In his speech at the annual general assembly of the ANAS, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijani scientists should say their decisive word in the development of the country's defensive industry.
