Azerbaijan has recorded 24 auto thefts in the first quarter, State Traffic Police Department Spokesman Kamran Aliyev told Trend.
Of them, 21 were solved, he added. He said the figure is lower than in other countries. During the reporting period, police arrested 62 cars and five men.
Police revealed 124 cases of non-conformance of vehicle technical data with car specifications.
Azerbaijan registered 13,313 vehicles in the first quarter of 2011 and 9,866 persons received driver's license.
