Mirkamil Rahimov, the head of the delegation of the Azerbaijani national team, will become a standard bearer of the team in the Olympic Games in Turin.
Ragif Abbasov, the spokesman of the Sports and Youth Ministry, told Trend that just Rahimov would carry the state flag at the opening ceremony of the Winter Games on Friday. Rahimov was chosen, as he was native Azerbaijani. Besides, the team will be presented in Turin by dance pair Christine Freizer-Igor Lukanin. Therefore, Rahimovs candidacy is logical, he added.
It should be mentioned that the numerous Azerbaijani national team will participate in the Winter Games for third time.
