Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 November / Trend / Bank Standard, Azerbaijan's largest private bank, 2.5 times increases the limit for withdrawal of cash by cards - to AZN 500, bank said on 12 November.
"Previously, the limit of 500 conventional units was applied to USD and euro cards. But the new limits of manat cards will take force on 15 November 2008," Roman Aliyev, the head of Bank Standard's department on operations with plastic cards, said.
Expansion of the limits is intended to make clients feel comfortable, said Aliyev.
As of 1 November 2008, the number of active cards totaled 22,530, with 630 of them being GəncKart.
